Little Mountain Pottery

For almost 30 years the artists at Little Mountain Pottery have captured the Carolinas in clay and glaze. Their work has been exhibited in museums and galleries around the country and is in many public and private collections.

Located six miles from Columbus, North Carolina at 6372 Peniel Road, the studio and showroom is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or by appointment.

Clay work created at the pottery by Claude and Elaine Graves is featured in the showroom. The studio is a working pottery where soft clay is turned into durable pottery and unique sculpture that reflects our mountain heritage and culture.

During your visit you can watch the potter working much as potters have for centuries. The pottery holds three annual Kiln Openings which offer an insight into the craft and an opportunity to get pottery fresh from the kiln.
